It’s been a real hot minute since anything popped on this blog. As if you hadn’t known, Ben’s definitely doing much bigger things than he was before and had to re-prioritize his time, that’s why he formally announced to y’all several months back about not blogging as much (if at all) anymore because it took up too much. Read through a lot of smack talk comments for stopping the blog posts, lol, but saw even more appreciative posts for his influence and motivation. You can’t blame him for stopping though, right? Ben is doing big things and is currently in China getting mad bread right now. As for me, I’m here in LA with rest of the team, about to close up our shop in just a few minutes. Just thought I’d post up on the blog to keep y’all updated with what’s going on at IF and Co:
1. We’re still here customizing jewelry. The best in the west, all day, every day. No blog updates about anything (until now) because we’ve just been too busy with working on custom jewelry, dealing with the media, and making positive changes on some internal aspects in our business. We also faced a few internal hiccups but they’re all handled now. Cake!
2. If you’re one of the 0.001% of visitors who didn’t know, we now have a new website. We’ll posting up new jewelry available on the online store every month, but eventually, I’ll make sure to frequent more with online store updates. We do take custom jewelry inquiries through the website now but to be honest, I’m leaning towards having that changed because I think it sucks. I’d say it’s still better to just e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org for any custom jewelry inquiries.
3. I’ll probably be blogging from here on forward. I won’t care if you’re all like “it ain’t Ben Baller bloggin’ anymore? who the heck is this james fool?” As long as I’m doing what I need to do to keep the word going around that we’re still making the illest custom jewelry out there, that’s good with me. Chances are that you won’t be seeing much of the crazy lifestyle like Ben (just yet) but I promise to present you with the latest scoop on our new jewelry once in a while, along with any updates on any news or promotions. As for pictures, you may see a few repeats pulled from my instagram page, but I’ll be more in-depth with the jewelry description here on the blog.
4. It ain’t easy getting on our team. The past several months alone, we’ve received roughly 400 e-mails (including the 80 which were sent to MY e-mail address… why me???) regarding internship opportunities and we selected just 1 person to try out. The funny thing is that he didn’t even apply with a résumé, but instead, he showed up like a real go-getter. After 3 hard months, I realized we just couldn’t get the ship steady in one direction so he decided to split. I still keep in touch with him since he’s now a good friend of mine. I thank him for much of the things he’s taught me.
That’s just a quick and short update. I’ll have some more info for you on some of the things that went down in the past few months. Before the post comes to an end, check this out. One of our local’s Porsche 911 key had a little mishap occur this morning:
We’re going to make a replacement button out of 14k gold and diamonds. We started on the mold this earlier today and we’ll start detailing tomorrow, so I’ll have it posted up when we’re done. I’m sure this’ll be a cool little finished product. Let’s see what happens.
