So yesterday was a crazy one!
I had a lot of work to do, a lot of research and reading to do and on top of that, I had TK’s shoe release at Factory 413 and they were also filming his new TV show debuting on BET “The Kennedy’s”

right after that, I had to shoot over to Fox News studios to do my short debate with Michael Caulfield and his partner who were really cool guys…. I got to meet Christine Devine too which was nice!

so when I got to the event, it was nice to see my supra fam and TK’s family and my fly society fam!
I got there early obviously because I had to leave and there was BBQ and a BAR but my stomach was lightweight nervous over the interviews and such….
I got to chop it up with a very very old friend of mine Cash Warren (Jessica Albas husband) who is the executive producer of TK’s new reality TV show…. we been friends a long time, so we got to talk about his show and how his daughter is doing and so on and so forth….

It was a chill event and I couldn’t stay long, but still stayed for over an hour.
here are some pics

TK’s new shoes…. “The Stacks”

of course some Limited Edition TK Society’s on deck!

early on…. just setting up and mostly fam

speaking of fam…

TEAM SUPRA! (chad muska, kteezy, TK and Angel)

the grub was always good… shout out to the chef because I know her personally and she doesn’t cook burgers on a regular basis…. she was our house chef during the NIKE blue house days

started to get crackin….

go ahead TK…. get your shine on!

me showing off my new early samples on the show? no way….
I didn’t care to get any cameos as I’ll have my own time for that with my boy…. I came to show support to my bro bro….

congrats TK, I’m so fucking proud homey!
thank you to Joy, Angel and the entire KR3W and Supra staff and Cash Warren and Fly Society

my mind was elsewhere though, no lie…. I tried to keep focused on the major topic at hand; conflict free diamonds and my interview on Fox News…

so I got to the station and the security was tight! but my name was on the list and I was all good!

The Lobby….

where it all went down…. where it all goes down

and then I went into makeup to get some shine….. and powder to cover up a brand new pimple (of course it would pop up just before I go live on air! smh)

there were a couple flat screens in the Green Room, so Nicolette took pics of the broadcast while she was waiting….

I wasn’t nervous being on camera as I’ve been live and in front of camera over 100x easy, but the topic was such a delicate one and a touchy one I had to make sure to be a little more less brash than the usual Ben Baller that people have seen in the past. We also didn’t have much time to really discuss the matters at hand… but all in all, I’m glad I got to do this and I’m glad to have met Michael Caulfield and his partner Adisa; congrats on your foundation and it’s really admirable what you guys are doing out there in Africa.

me, Adisa & Michael (they produced/directed the short movie “a day without mines” and they also have a foundation helping the youth in Sierra Leone…. Michael Caulfield is actually one of the founders of which is huge! and by stupid random chance… he’s a classmate of mine from high school! haha, damn. not an australian film maker who I thought at first (google isn’t always your friend)

for those who didn’t catch the interview, I tivo’d it and recorded it as best as I could
here it is:

thank you Fox News, thank you Heidi Cuda, Christine Devine and Michael Caulfield and Adisa and of course my girlfriend Nicolette for being by my side the entire night…. thank you Darlene and Ice for referring me to do this interview on such a controversial subject.

god bless everyone…

Good Job Ben! I’m glad you got to clear that up as far as where your diamonds come from.

yo BenB…DID YA THANG HOMIE! ! ! REPN’ You were a bit hesitant on your responses hence ‘mind on suttin else’ but it was a show ‘show’. I peeped that AP joint closer to the end with u n Steve…Assuming that is your showcase? Joint is happening man!!! Any chance you can post some pics of your shop along with the chain and the AP you had on? Thanks much!!!

Man, you were nervous as hell. The first question they asked you, you mumbled a lot and were not clear. You also tailed off. The second time they asked you a question, all you did was repeat the same sentence 3 or 4X. After that, I was like, “this dude is a joke”. It was annoying. Man, for a person who’s been on “100X” TV interviews and stuff, you sure suck.

I guess that’s why when they gave you your own reality tv…it was ONLY on the Internet. And it was never shown after two 5 minute clips…lol. If you call that a reality tv.

Go back to blog’ing. Your good at that. Leave the TV, live news interviews, etc., to other guys.

And you put your hand on your face…never do that dude. Never. CH.×300.jpg

Damn Ben that was some GOOD press… Do good and good will come… Nice Work!!!

  • Ben BallerAugust 13, 2010 3:32 pm

    @carlos hernandez,
yeh I was about as nervous as you get when you’re around 11 year old boys. NOT AT ALL.
get the fuck outta here test tube baby.

that wasn’t a reality tv show, that was 3 webisodes I did for a company to help them launch…
my holding deal is with MTV because they bought my rights out from FUSE TV (the network that originally picked up my series “Ben Baller” ICEE FRESH and I still have many offers as of now, but I know it’s a 1 shot kill or be killed, so I’m strategically making a chess move. I’m not in a rush…
I have a sizzle reel and pilot in the can that is ill, but I won’t show until I figure out where I want to go with this, I guess you missed the daily show skit, the mtv news bits 2 different times, fox national news. bro do some research before you talk stupid.

btw, dumbfuck, I put my hand over my face to publicize my watch…. DOH! didn’t think that was a good marketing scheme huh?

was contacted by the news and a representative from De Beers early this morning with props while you were asleep dreaming of birria

I approved the comment so idiots can see how retarded you sound.
what do you do besides go into mens restrooms to smell their crap? lol

if I was nervous, then please tell me what the other guy was? smh

  • Ben BallerAugust 13, 2010 3:35 pm

btw, I took that pic genius
remember, this is about a real touchy subject, many jewelers declined to do the interview because they had no idea where this could go.

one thing they say you should do to avoid conflict, never speak about politics or religion in specifics…. well killing kids in africa is just as bad if not worse.
I didn’t want to speak too fast and obviously didn’t know what she was gonna ask, I coulda by accident said, well I support conflict diamonds and forget to say conflict FREE diamonds and then we’d all be fucked in my business.

but then again, everyone is free to their opinion, hence why I have a blog and open comments for discussion

  • PZIZZLEAugust 13, 2010 4:22 pm

  • ChellBellzAugust 16, 2010 12:07 pm

Honestly don’t think you need to explain yourself. Its a touchy subject, and you never want to mess those things up by looking as if you’re lying or something. I think you did a great job.
